Reflexology by Relax-Therapy |
When the body relaxes and there is a reduction of the stress levels, it can bring about an improved sense of well-being, improved sleep, and a better frame of mind. As I often say to my clients: massage is for the outer surface, reflexology is for the internal body.
What happens when I go for reflexology? Your medical history will be taken during the consultation and you will be asked to sign a consent form (all information will be kept strictly confidentially). Reflexology can be done on the feet or the hands, so you will either be asked to remove your shoes and socks, or wash you hands depending on where the therapist will be working. The therapist will then use their thumbs, fingers or knuckles to apply pressure to specific points depending on the type of reflexology chosen. Some areas of the feet/hands/face/ears may initially feel tender but this usually passes quickly. How will I feel after the treatment? After one or two treatments, people often report an improved sense of wellbeing and a feeling more relaxed. Regular treatments are recommended to allow any improvements you have experienced from the treatments to continue. At the end of the session you will be given an after care leaflet to take home with you with some helpful information. Bea is originally from Hungary and would describe herself as a lover of nature, a keen runner and a health and well-being enthusiast. She qualified as a reflexologist in 2013 and is a full member of the Association of Reflexologists. Since started she has given more than 950 reflexology treatments to help people look after their health and well being. She focuses mainly on women's health but everyone is welcome to have a reflexology treatment. Pregnancy is a time when reflexology can be really helpful, and Bea loves giving and teaching Baby Reflex so mums can treat their little ones when they get back home. |
